A visual inspection
will evaluate the existing condition and serviceability of the following
points:

EXTERIOR
SERVICES: entrance location, loose mastheads, wires through
trees, wires rubbing on house or roof, unsecured wiring, unsealed entry
point, loose wires, deteriorated sheathing, tight wires to the house,
poor drip loop, loose conduit, improper meter access, meter location |
|
INTERIOR
SERVICES: panel
or Sub panel location, type of service such as
breakers or fuses used, amperage and or voltage rating , approximate
number circuits in use |

GROUNDING:
location, loose clamps, corrosion, splices,
grounding to gas pipes |
|
BREAKERS
/ FUSES: open knockouts, loose
or corroded wires, rusting,
missing fuses, over fusing, double tapped, unlinked 220 breakers, scorched
fuse bodies, improper clearances in front of panel, over exposed wiring,
reversed polarity, signs of amateur work, pigtails inside panel, no
sub-panel main disconnects, melted or scorched insulation, incomplete
labeling, GFCI response, unconnected circuits |

WIRING
METHODS: type of wire used
(copper or aluminum), sheathing type
used, wiring methods (modern or knob and tube) |

GENERAL:
Any obvious immediate
condition that may appear to impede efficiency,
cause premature failure, or pose a health or safety risk. |

NOTE:
If any point of a regular inspection is
concealed, or not accessible to the inspector it will not be included in
the inspection.
